From there, you take a 1.5 to 3-hour shared jeep, private taxi, or pre-arranged transfer to Khatgal, the main village and tourist hub at the southern tip of the lake. do not need a visa if visiting for fewer than 90 days, but your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your date of arrival. For stays of more than 30 days, you must register with Mongolian Immigration within seven days of arrival. BY Taxi :  flying to Murun town, 102 km from the lake. Then drive to Khovsgol Lake 2.5 hours. The (100 ext{ km}) journey from Murun to Khatgal (the main tourist gateway on the southern shore of the lake) takes roughly (2 ext{ to }3) hours by car.
